Changes After Construction:
  • After the Second Constitutional period, Minister of Education Şükrü Bey purchased the mansion with its garden and outbuildings on behalf of the ministry for the purpose of establishing a school.
  • In the Republican period, the building was used in different periods with the function of a boarding girls’ school; the educational use that began under the name İnas Sultanisi continued under the name Çamlıca Girls’ High School.
  • The Istanbul Provincial Special Administration initiated the project process for the restoration of the mansion, and it was aimed for the restoration to begin in 2011.
  • The weekly work programme of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education records the meeting carried out with the Investment Monitoring and Coordination Presidency for the restoration of the mansion building and its outbuildings.
  • The Ministry of National Education established the Üsküdar Guidance and Research Centre in 1999; after different buildings, the institution began to serve in the mansion outbuilding in the garden of Çamlıca Girls’ High School.

  • The mansion is a wooden and multi-storey example of civil architecture situated within a large garden in Acıbadem.

  • The mansion’s extensive interior programme created a building character suitable for functions such as a dining hall and dormitory during its long-term educational uses.
