Changes After Construction

  1. It was repaired in 1847 and 1863.

  2. It was damaged as a result of the fires it underwent.

  3. As of 1918, it was recorded that only the plot remained of the structure.

  4. Excavation works under the supervision of the Istanbul Archaeology Museums were completed; projects were prepared and submitted to the Conservation Board.

  5. Site delivery was made for the reconstruction (rebuilding/revival) work, and implementation works were initiated.

  6. The archaeological excavation works were carried out under the supervision of the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum; the original foundation remains were uncovered.

  7. It is stated that it remains within an area designated as a “Social Cultural Facility” in the zoning plan and that it will be revived as a facility serving women and children.
