Changes After Construction:
  • It was repaired in 1847 and 1863.
  • It was damaged as a result of the fires it underwent.
  • As of 1918, it was recorded that only the plot remained of the structure.
  • Excavation works under the supervision of the Istanbul Archaeology Museums were completed; projects were prepared and submitted to the Conservation Board.
  • Site delivery was made for the reconstruction (rebuilding/revival) work, and implementation works were initiated.
  • The archaeological excavation works were carried out under the supervision of the Turkish and Islamic Arts Museum; the original foundation remains were uncovered.
  • It is stated that it remains within an area designated as a “Social Cultural Facility” in the zoning plan and that it will be revived as a facility serving women and children.
