Changes After Construction
The mosque, first built by Grand Vizier Mehmed Said Pasha, has undergone various repairs over time.
Damaged by fire during the reign of Sultan Abdulaziz, the mosque was rebuilt in 1863.
Restoration works were carried out in the 1990s and the structure was strengthened.
