Changes After Construction:
  • The building complex was constructed for the function of a summer hunting lodge; the campus included three main buildings, namely the Mabeyin Lodge, the Harem Lodge, and the Bendegân Lodge, along with additions such as a pool and a greenhouse.
  • The campus was used with the function of a nursery-school under the name Dar’ül-eytam in 1923; it was later converted into the function of the Hürriyet-i Ebediye Primary School.
  • The Hürriyet-i Ebediye Primary School moved to Mecidiyeköy in the 1938–1939 academic year; the campus transitioned to the function of vocational education under the name Building Master School in 1939–1940.
  • The campus was used as an educational building under the names Building Institute, Building Vocational Institute, and Istanbul Building Vocational High School over time; new buildings were constructed within the 40-acre land.
  • Following a protocol signed between the Istanbul Governorate and ISOV in 2000, the institution was named “ISOV Construction Anatolian Technical, Construction Anatolian Vocational, Construction Technical, and Building Vocational High School”; in 2009, the name of the institution became ISOV Technical and Industrial Vocational High School.
  • The name of the institution was changed to “Zincirlikuyu ISOV Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School” by the Ministry of National Education in 2014.
  • The Atilla Altuntaş Education Building on the campus was demolished and rebuilt within the scope of earthquake safety and put into service.
Prominent Features:
  • The campus has also been referred to by the names Zincirlikuyu Palaces, Dar’ül-eytam, Hürriyet-i Ebediye Primary School, Building Master School, Building Institute, Building Vocational Institute, and Istanbul Building Vocational High School.
  • The building complex, dated 1884, is defined as the work of Sarkis Balyan.
