Changes After Construction
The building complex was constructed for the function of a summer hunting lodge; the campus included three main buildings, namely the Mabeyin Lodge, the Harem Lodge, and the Bendegân Lodge, along with additions such as a pool and a greenhouse.
The campus was used with the function of a nursery-school under the name Dar’ül-eytam in 1923; it was later converted into the function of the Hürriyet-i Ebediye Primary School.
The Hürriyet-i Ebediye Primary School moved to Mecidiyeköy in the 1938–1939 academic year; the campus transitioned to the function of vocational education under the name Building Master School in 1939–1940.
The campus was used as an educational building under the names Building Institute, Building Vocational Institute, and Istanbul Building Vocational High School over time; new buildings were constructed within the 40-acre land.
Following a protocol signed between the Istanbul Governorate and ISOV in 2000, the institution was named “ISOV Construction Anatolian Technical, Construction Anatolian Vocational, Construction Technical, and Building Vocational High School”; in 2009, the name of the institution became ISOV Technical and Industrial Vocational High School.
The name of the institution was changed to “Zincirlikuyu ISOV Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School” by the Ministry of National Education in 2014.
The Atilla Altuntaş Education Building on the campus was demolished and rebuilt within the scope of earthquake safety and put into service.
