Changes After Construction:
- The school, commissioned by the Minister of Education Zühtü Pasha, was opened for education in the 1897-1898 academic year under the name “Kuşdili Girls’ Secondary School.”
- After the Constitutional Monarchy of 1908, the name of the school was changed to “Kadıköy Model Secondary School.”
- In 1920, the school was renamed “Kadıköy High School.”
- In 1983, the building was given the name of former Ministers of National Education Dr. İbrahim Öktem.
- It is stated that the institution began to serve as a kindergarten in the 2022-2023 academic period.
Prominent Features:
- It is a valuable example of 19th-century Ottoman civil architecture that can be observed on the Anatolian side.
- The building is stated to be part of the historic school complex known as Kadıköy Model Secondary School.
