Changes After Construction:
  • The inscription for the building is missing, but the text “Mihrimah Sultan built this / Primary school for children” was added later.
  • The building, which remained in ruins for a long time, was preserved after being repaired in the 1960s.
Prominent Features:
  • The building is the primary school (sıbyan mektebi) unit of the Mihrimah Sultan Complex.
  • The primary school is located to the southwest of the mosque, next to the tomb.
  • The structure consists of three units covered by a dome in the center and trough vaults on both sides.
