  • Within the scope of the works initiated in 2021, the survey, restitution, and reconstruction projects of the masjid were prepared and approved by the Conservation Board.
  • Through the excavation and restoration works carried out, the original boundaries and architectural features of the structure were identified, and the masjid was revived.
  • Today, it is used as a place of worship, which is its original function.
Prominent Features:
  • The masjid was commissioned by Mustafa Efendi, who held the title of “Arpa Emini” and was responsible for the provision of the palace stables in the Ottoman fiscal organization.
  • The structure, which is among the small-scale neighborhood masjids, reflects the plain and functional architectural understanding of the early Ottoman period.
  • Rubble stone and brick were used in its construction, and this technique shows the common building tradition of the period.
  • Although it remained in a ruined condition for a long time, its original plan scheme and architectural character have largely been preserved thanks to the restorations carried out.
  • Arpa Emini Masjid has been an important part of the religious and social life in its neighborhood throughout history.
