Changes After Construction:
  • The church was renovated in 1617.
  • The church underwent repair in 1727, during the patriarchate of Hovhannes IX Golod, under the supervision of Sarkis Kalfa.
  • The church burned in the great fire of 1887; it was rebuilt in masonry in 1888.
  • The latest restoration of the church was completed in 2006, and it was reopened for worship.
  • The Cemaran School was built in 1838 to the east of the church complex.
