Changes After Construction:
The church was rebuilt in 1727.
The building underwent repairs in 1779, 1781, 1782, 1785, 1790, and 1808.
The church was rebuilt in its present form in 1880 in finely cut stone.
Cistern(s) were built in the church courtyard in 1831.
The latest restoration was carried out in 1998.
Prominent Features:
The church belongs to the Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey.
The building is also known as the “Selâmsız Armenian Church.”
Its roof is covered with a vaulted dome, and the church has five doors.
It is recorded that there is an inscription on the marble rim of the cistern in the courtyard.
The tomb of the church’s first founder is located in the garden on the northern side.
