Surp Hovhannes Armenian Church
Changes After Construction:
- The earlier church built on the same site in 1849 was destroyed by fire; the present building was rebuilt in 1876.
- The building was reopened for worship in 1895.
- The church underwent a major renovation in 1950.
- After a fire in 1972, it was repaired again; in 1986, it was restored from the foundation and reopened for worship.
- The most recent repair was carried out in 2006, and the church was reopened for worship.

- The church belongs to the Armenian Patriarchate of Turkey.
- The building belongs to the Armenian Apostolic tradition and is evaluated among the churches of the 19th century.
