Following the application in 1893, it was enlarged in 1894.
It underwent repair in 1875 and 1890; a comprehensive repair was carried out in 1904, and Leon Casanova took part in this repair.

The structure was built in 1804 with a single-nave, plain, and undecorated arrangement.
The main entrance of the structure is on Emir Nevruz Street; it has additional entrances opening onto Meşrutiyet Avenue and Han Geçidi.
On the iconostasis are scenes from the life of Jesus and depictions of Ioannis Prodromos; in the narthex are Christ Pantokrator and portraits of the apostles.
