Changes After Construction:
  • Before the church, there was a chapel in the area toward the end of the 16th century.
  • The masonry church was rebuilt and opened for worship in 1857.
  • The church underwent interior and exterior renovation in 1985.
  • The church was repaired in 1998; it was consecrated and opened for worship by Archbishop Mesrob, Locum Tenens of the Patriarchate.
  • The repair work started in mid-2014 reached its final stage in August 2015.
