Changes After Construction:
The complex was damaged in the earthquakes of 1837 and 1894.
The buildings underwent repairs in the years 1842–1843, 1861–1863, and 1895.
During the 1953–1954 road widening works, the shops on the street facade of the complex were demolished, the sebil and the burial ground were moved to the east, and the courtyard gate was moved back.
The complex was restored by the General Directorate of Foundations between 1960 and 1964.
In recent years, a door was opened in the west wall of the water reservoir to the southwest of the primary school, and the section was rearranged as a boiler room.
Prominent Features:
The primary school is a rectangular educational unit located in the southeast of the complex’s courtyard.
The upper covering has a wooden ceiling and is covered with a lead-coated roof.
The structure is arranged in a layout partially separated from the madrasa courtyard; there is a small courtyard in front of its entrance.
The east and south facades are built with an alternating masonry of two rows of brick and one row of cut limestone and feature double rows of windows.
In the small courtyard of the school, there are fountains within two pointed-arched niches, and toilets are located to the south.
